Ashford’s Carnival of Baubles Lantern Workshops.

Join the team to make and decorate your own lantern from willow, tape, tissue paper & PVA glue. Then, we’ll keep it safe to dry out so it’s ready for the big procession on Saturday 22nd Nov where you can come and collect it from us and hold your very own lantern in the parade.

This year the carnival route will be reversed! It will start from the Lower High Street (mustering on East Hill), moving through Ashford High Street and Bank Street, then ending in Elwick Place where there will be a big finale!

The workshop venue is different this year and it will be held in the old H&M shop in County Square near the escalators.

These sessions are a max of 16 participants and last up to 2 hours hours. We will hold x4 sessions a day and there are x3 Saturdays of sessions!

If you are a large group or club and wish to make a whole session booking please contact us separately. These sessions are for families and individuals only.

This session is aimed at 5 years+ and grown-ups are very welcome to make a lantern too, so don't forget to book yourself a place! Parents/guardians of children are required to stay in the unit while the session is taking place.

We will be using willow, tissue paper, scissors, masking tape, pva glue and sugar paper.
