Here is a bit about all of our spaces so you can choose the best one for your business.

We have spaces that are permanent and fixed so you wont need to bring in your own furniture, just props to add height and individuality to your space. We have tailored sections of the shop to suit different creators needs such as slatwall for clothing or a cabinet for jewellery. 

From our experiences of running the shop we know that not everyone who has a small businesses can help run the shop for the day so we have spaces that don’t require you to work and have created incentives for those businesses that do. However we do encourage businesses to take part in staffing the shop not only is it lots of fun but helps you learn your market which is incredibly valuable for your business success.

Duck egg space 

A peg board strip approx 30cm wide with 3 shelves beneath. (does not include the floor space).

£7 p/w

no work commitment – 25% commission

1 day per month work commitment – £15% commission

Royal Blue Space

Table top space with a lower shelf. approx 50cm x 50cm . These spaces are on wheels as they are in the back of the window. We only have 4 of these spaces.

Yellow Space

This is our community space where we can support, show case and sell products from community groups, local schools or charities. It is our way of giving back and showing off more of our local talent!

For those clothing or other appropriate businesses who are approved to go on the slatline we will need to negotiate based on your needs but you can see the above figures and commitments to give yourself an idea.


Start up incubator shop space

We have a fabulous little shop space within our shop with a counter, desk space, shelving and storage for products.

It is currently occupied by Bare Bazaar, our wonderful and popular packaging reducing shop. Please get in touch if you are interested in a space like this and we can see if we can help.

Starewell Gallery

We hold regular gallery exhibitions in our stairwell along different themes. We like to showcase tenants and non tenants alike so if you are interested in displaying your art please get in touch and we will see if we have a theme coming up that will suit you.

Gallery sales are charged at 30% commission for non tenants and 20% for tenants.

Should you like to hire the entire gallery to showcase your work we can discus your requirements over email.

We are holding lots of workshops and community events upstairs in store. If you are interested in teaching a class or setting something up then drop us an email to talk about your needs.

Workshops are charged at 30% for non tenants and 20% for tenants.

Other important info

A license to trade in store is 3 months min then monthly rolling after. Your rent for your license is paid directly to the council a month in advance. The commission is deducted from your takings which will have a monthly accounting period paid to you from the shop.

Days working in store can still be taken as half days (if we can find someone to take the other half day) or whole days. You will need to undertake training before you can work in store (it takes approx 2 hours).

We do lots of fun things in store like regular meet ups, help nurture each others businesses and enjoy going out as a super gang of awesomeness. We have window takeovers where your biz can takeover one of our windows for your own super display. We run workshops upstairs to help develop and share your skills if you wish to. We have a gallery on our stairs. There is a lot going on in our little shop and a huge amount of support and opportunity.

There is a limited number of space available and we want to maintain high quality products & businesses as well as a good variety in the shop. If you are interested then you will need to fill out a short application form.

*Please note if you wish to trade in store for December you will also be required to stay until February 28th.
