United Makers of Kent Food & Creative Market

Not only is it the return of our market with a great new location, we also have spruced up our markets name & branding. Introducing the United Makers of Kent Food & Creative Market!

This name first has appeared as the name of our open Facebook community for creative businesses. This is a space to offer support & to share in the Kentish Creative biz scene. This group has been existence for a few years now and we have really loved what it does & what it stands for so to use its name to further support creative businesses in our markets made perfect sense to us. We have added Food & Creative Market as we wanted to be clear that our market is not just craft stalls, we proudly mix producers, creatives & makers at our market. Our new location has also given us the opportunity to expand how many stalls we can have, so expect a bigger & better market!

Even though there have been lots of changes with our relaunch many things about our market remain the same like that it happens on the 1st Saturday of the month & our dedication to supporting young makers with a free stall for 1 biz at each market. Our wonderful regular stall holders will of course be back as well as a good number of new stalls for you to browse & enjoy. We are still the same team behind the markets operated through our not for profit social enterprise - Craftship Enterprise CIC (who also run Made in Ashford, The Craftship & other creative community based activities in Ashford). So we will still go forward with our same values that are rooted in creativity, community & Ashford.

I would like to thank Danielle of Tinybeegle for working so hard on our fresh new look, our market manager Katy of Katy & the Bear for all her hard work over the last few years helping to build us to this point and the Love Ashford team for supporting our market & its new location.
