Debz Eastlake, Pancake Cat - Womxn Up Ashford

Debz set up her small business in 2020 called Pancake Cat. At the time a friend of hers had just opened a Pet Shop called Not for Humans on Folkestone Old high street, so she had an immediate outlet to sell her pet beds, puppy carriers and dog toys that she makes at home in her workshop. Debz love sewing and collecting all sorts of stuff, especially vintage fabrics. Soft furnishing fabrics are my favourite, she dabbles with upholstery too and uses her off cuts for purses and pencil cases that she sell in Made In Ashford. You can also find Debz in one of my favourite places, the Craftship where she runs kids craft workshops and a Home Ed art class. Working on my creative projects is an amazing escape from her busy mum life looking after my beautiful 6 year old twin boys.

The films are produced by Square Stone Media, a new creative collaboration between local filmmakers Richard Grebby (RG Studios) and Dominic Rees-Roberts (Borderpoint Films) - A massive thanks to these guys for providing us with a brilliant video & photographic showcase for Womxn Up Ashford.
