Ashford we need your fabric!

The Fabric of Ashford is a community project to bring colour and a sense of togetherness into the high street. We are looking for fabric donations that will go into the installation. These will represent what makes us as a community and by using unwanted fabric it will be a more sustainable approach to an art installation project.

If you have fabric to donate please bring it to Made in Ashford. We would love to hear your stories about the fabric you are donating too so please pop in a note or tell us all about it.

The installation will be an epic collective effort that grows in length over the summer, and will live on as an historical piece capturing Ashford’s journey to recovery following the pandemic.

Three free textile workshops will take place in the town centre throughout July and August, allowing the public to create fabric-based artwork to contribute to the installation. The first one will be at the bandstand on Saturday 17th 12pm - 6pm.
