Create a zine (mini magazine) and fill with your favourite things! Like art, pop stars, animals, the planet, gaming or whatever else you could possibly imagine.

Together we will cut stick and create a (maga)zine or you can make your own set of zines for you to take home.

You can bring any materials you like to add to your own creation.

Zines- Drawing and collage.
An in
troduction to what a zine is in each session. I'll show you a bunch of examples too.

You can tackle a subject you feel passionately about or just a 'Fanzine' about your favourite person/subject area like fashion/animals/sport/wellbeing etc.

Make a zine about something you're interested in or a ‘protest’ style Zine. E.g. The Environment/Veganism. Could be something serious, or equally something about dance/nature/walking/skateboarding/theatre - anything goes!

Materials provided by me:
Glue, scissors, old magazines/wrapping paper/anything 2D that you can cut up, photocopies/print outs, mixed coloured/patterned A4 papers, felt tips/coloured pencils, string.

Materials to gather and bring with you:
Anything paper that you like old birthday cards/magazines etc, washi tape, ribbon, anything you like using.

Monday 3rd April 2 - 3:30pm

Suitable for ages 9+

About the workshop leader:

For the last few years all my time is spent facilitating others via creative workshops e.g. community group, youth clubs, school art workshops etc. Trying to provide people with the tools to be independently, or even socially creative. This can be for wellbeing, growth or just to have ‘downtime’ from their daily grind. My personal practice is sculpture, someone once said "Zo is a relentless constructor of objects and playful expander of material potential" I loved that! Basically, I am interested in form and sculpture as fun experiments in the possibilities of stuff within the everyday. Concentrating heavily on reclaimed materials/objects. This is underpinned with a daily drawing; no paper is left un-doodled on with me about!
