Ashford’s Carnival of Baubles Lantern Workshops - Clubs sessions.
.
Join the team to make and decorate your own lantern from willow, tape, tissue paper & PVA glue. Then, we’ll keep it safe to dry out so it’s ready for the big procession on Saturday 23rd Nov where you can come and collect it from us and hold your very own lantern in the parade.
.
This year, due to demand, we have introduced a clubs day of sessions. This year we are increasing our capacity and have introduced paid for sessions to meet this additional demand. The clubs sessions are priced at £120 per sessions for up to 20 participants which is £6 per participant. This fee is still partly subsidised.
.
This year the carnival route will be reversed! It will start from the Lower High Street (mustering on East Hill), moving through Ashford High Street and Bank Street, then ending in Elwick Place where there will be a big finale!
.
The workshop venue is the same as last year in County Square Shopping Centre (the former toy store on the lower level by Debenhams).
.
These sessions are club only session with a max of 20 lantern makers plus some parent/guardian helpers too. These sessions will last approximately one and a half hours. We will hold four sessions on the clubs day.
.
Please only book a clubs place if you have emailed us already about one. contact info@madeinashford.com
.
Clubs take responsibility for the children they are bringing and additional grown ups must be present at the sessions.
.
We will be using willow, tissue paper, scissors, masking tape, pva glue and sugar paper.
.
We also have ‘Make at Home’ bauble kits for £5 from Made in Ashford in Park Mall Shopping Centre or on our website click here.
